Advanced Level (A-Level)
A-Level is the short form of the word advanced level. Cambridge advanced level is also an international qualification that is studied after the Ordinary Level (O-Level). This is basically a two year qualification after which the learner can easily apply for university study.

There are three routes in this qualification, first the learner can take AS-level only this half of the syllabus, second route is they can first take the AS-level in one exam series and complete the rest in next series as the final examinations that is this qualification, the third route is the learner can take all the papers of this qualification in one exam series at the end of the course. The exam series of this qualification is held twice a year in June and November.
Results are issued in August and January. For each subject the learner gets separate grades. Grades are benchmarked using internationally recognized grades, which have clear guidelines to explain standards of achievement. The grade scale for this qualification is from A* (the highest) to E (minimum required performance). There is no A* for AS-level they run from grades A to E. Worldwide result statistics are also provided. Many schools use AS-level qualification to give learners valuable feedback on their performance, identify their strengths and weaknesses before they complete this full qualification.
